I love to read suspense, mystery and thrillers. Who doesn’t?

So in this post, I am going to share what I am reading + what other bloggers are reading  (and have read recently) in this genre. I am suggesting the books mentioned below that you can read this summer.

1 A Broken Reality

‘A Broken Reality’ By Rob Kaufman has made to my list of my new favourite books with genre, Mystery & Thrillers.

‘A Broken Reality‘ – a book named perfectly.

“Ten-year-old, Danny Madsen, has been missing for four days when Jesse Carlton begins his own search for his godson on a frigid, snowy night. Driving along a deserted rural road, Jesse hits a stretch of black ice at the same time Danny appears from the thicket. Unable to control the car, Jesse slams into the boy and watches helplessly as Danny’s body flies back into the dark brush.

When Jesse regains consciousness, he has no recollection of how he and his car wound up in a ditch. However, theres a witness: Charles Hastings, the sociopathic kidnapper who chased Danny through the brush and into the path of Jesse’s car.

Hastings takes this chance to set up Jesse so he’ll take the fall for both Danny’s disappearance and death. And so the mind games begin—an onslaught of psychological manipulation that devastates Jesse, his wife, Danny’s parents and the cops’ investigation. Inexplicably, the torment continues even after Hastings is killed, leaving everyone involved on what seems to be a never-ending rollercoaster of emotions and heartbreak.”

I am currently reading ‘Lies’ By T.M.Logan. Expect its review this week.

I have finished reading “Lies”. You can check my review here.

“What if you have the perfect life, the perfect wife and the perfect child—and then, in one shattering moment, you discover nothing is as it seems?

It’s the evening drive home from work, a route Joe Lynch has taken a hundred times with his young son. But when he unexpectedly sees his wife’s car ahead of them, he decides to follow her—and ends up witnessing her secret rendezvous with another man. The encounter will tear two families apart and leave an innocent man set up to take the fall for a murder.

Joe finds himself in the sights of a ruthless killer determined to destroy everything he treasures. He will do whatever it takes to protect his family, but as the net tightens around him, his life begins to fall apart. Soon, Joe is in a life or death struggle with a cunning opponent who is always one step ahead.”

Lies poses the question: Can we ever really trust those closest to us?

Lies by T.M. Logan is an unputdownable thriller in which each chapter changes the meaning of what came before, keeping the reader guessing until the jaw-dropping finale.

Nicole Pyles of WORLD OF MY IMAGINATION has reviewed it. Check out her review of ‘Lies’. I think its great!

  1. Thanks for sharing my review! I also really want to read The Good Son. I’ve been catching up on the Helen Grace mystery series this summer. I believe 7 are out right now, but they are quick reads and SO GOOD. The author is M.J. Arlidge – he’s from the UK but you can get the books in the U.S. too.

    1. Okay now I am really starting to put “The Good Son” in my want-to-read-books.

Thank you for letting me share your review.

Can you please tell me what is the book name when you said 7 are out right now and author is M. J. Arlidge. Are these 7 books in Helen Grace mystery series? Sorry, but I couldn’t understand the sentence properly.
If they are quick reads and SO GOOD, I will check them!

    1. If you haven’t read it, I would recommend checking it out. But I would mention that it had language (one thing I didn’t like). Overall, it was a good read.
